A funeral and bereavement insurance policy costing from £2 a month was launched this week.
FamilyLife+ is described as a new type of life insurance product offering payouts within 48 hours – as opposed to traditional policies that can take months. It has been launched by CUNA Mutual Group, which has link-ups with several building societies, including the Furness, the Progressive and the Saffron. “FamilyLife+ pays almost instantly, and therefore removes the unnecessary and unexpected worry of funeral costs,” says the Company.
A policy offering a £2,000 payout costs £2 a month if you are 18-29, rising to £13 for 65 to 69 year olds. You can also insure other family members.
